The Winter Community Festival at Tacoma Art Museum Only Comes Once A Year!
Tacoma Art Museum invites visitors to escape the cold and come inside the museum to create and connect with art for the holidays. Come dressed in your holiday garb (or wear your favorite ugly holiday sweater) and have a family portrait taken in the Mighty Tacoma exhibition. Local youth from the Grant Center for the Expressive Arts, and the Rainier Ringers, a community-based English handbell choir, will fill the museum with joyful music. Hear local Tacoma poets read their poetry to Peter Serko’s photography. All day long enjoy decorating gingerbread cookies, engage in art activities such as creating a paper snowflake snowstorm, and crafting your own holiday card. Take care of some holiday shopping in the Museum Store (where everything will be 10-percent off all weekend long) or at our Urban Craft Fair that features local vendors.

Schedule of Events:
12:15 pm Winter Music Classics by the Grant Center for the Expressive Arts
1:30 pm Rainier Ringers English Handbell Choir
3 pm Tacoma Poetry Reading from 20/20: Tacoma in Images and Voice

So come on down and support the Tacoma Art Museum and get your portrait drawn by the CLAW!
