The Cartoonists League of Absurd Washingtonians has as part of its objectives the awarding of a scholarship to a student interested in learning the mystical art of sequential illustration. This scholarship will be at least a lowly $100, but might reach loftier sums of $700 or maybe even higher. Funds for the scholarship are gathered in the year prior, and all funds gathered are bestowed on the talented applicant the CLAW chooses. Update: The funds raised for the 2012 Scholarship reached $1,059.10. And it is potentially available to the student who best fills out this application. You must also be currently enrolled in an institution or have confirmation of enrollment. Application Deadline: MARCH 15.
Note: There will be no exceptions. Application must be postmarked or electronically received no later than MARCH 15. Applicants must follow application instructions to the letter or will be disqualified without notice. This form may be photocopied. Scholarship reviews will begin MARCH 16. Award recipients will be notified electronically in June. Awards will be mailed out by July 15. Do not contact CLAW for application status. If you have a problem filling in the form electronically, print it out. No application or associated documentation will be returned to applicants. Recipient names will be listed on the CLAW website.
