2019 Scholarship Winner + 2020 Submissions Open!

Hey students, do you like money?

Yes?

Well we’ve got good news for you: our 2020 Scholarship is open for applications!

If you are a student located in the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Idaho) pursuing a focus in sequential art, animation, illustration, or related/adjacent majors, then you qualify!

Applicants must provide proof of enrollment (see out Scholarship page for a complete list of details). We accept applications from students attending reputable certificate programs, such as nonprofits like the IPRC in Portland OR, in addition to traditional BA and graduate programs.

All applications must be turned in by September 30th, 2020 to be considered, no exceptions!

And let’s give a big round of applause for our 2019 winner, Tara Stephens!

Scholarship Deadline Extended!

We’re setting a new deadline for our annual scholarship!
Applicants now have until September 30th, midnight (PST) to turn in their application for the 2019 scholarship award. The award amount for this year is still TBD.

April Showers 2018

WELCOME to a new edition of April Spring Showers News Show with CLAW Art Guild!  April brings plenty of rain and good news! For example, we have our APRIL Open Swim art challenge Wednesday April 25 at Kings Books, we will all build small year-of-the-dog wire sculptures, Like drawing in 3d!  Before that you’ll get to hang out and Drink and DRAW with the CLAW April 18th too at Dunagan Brewing Co (really nice if you like drinking and drawing)!  And then also in APRIL we will be attempting to raise money for our upcoming ART STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP with an art basket raffle FREE PIZZA PARTY at Destiny City Comics April 20th!  Sad news, the CLAW is not going to create a giant poster that is made by driving a steam roller this year at Tacoma Wayzgoose, but we will still be at the event with a table full of cool awesome CLAW ART GUILD prints and art April 28th-29th also at Kings Books! ***BREAKING THIS JUST IN*** Both Mark Monlux and Mark Brill – Known as the CLAW Marks, will be selling their merchandise at Crypticon May 4-6th https://www.crypticonseattle.com/
