The CLAW Welcomes Derek Tong

Derek Tong Initiation into CLAW
During it’s last secret member-only meeting at Comic Book Ink, initiate Derek Tong was brought fully into the clutches of The CLAW. Mr. Tong became the exclusive member number seven. “Seven is my lucky number.” Tong was quoted. “What did I sign? You said I didn’t need to read it first. What? No! What? Wait.” It is with a happy heart, healthier coffers, and abstract plans that The CLAW welcomes it’s newest talon. Photo by Michael Shaudis. CLAW Tears into the Tacoma Art Museum’s Iron Artist Competition

The CLAW Team and entry in the Iron Artist Competition

The CLAW Team and entry in the Iron Artist Competition

The theme for the third annual Iron Artist competition was wearable art. Our masterful effort was titled “Angelic Herald of the Coming of the Robotic Overlords”. While our great visionary masterpiece did not win the competition, or come in second or third, we are confident it was a near miss. The team was composed of Electric Elliot, RR Anderson, Michael Shaudis, Mark Monlux, and Dawn Fortner who was a Stowe-Away. The CLAW is looking forward to entering and dominating next years’ contest.
